AISDA

 

Established in 2006, AISDA is one of the leading national humanitarian organizations headquartered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia with a number of project coordination offices at its operational areas in Afar and Amhara Regional states. AISDA is an international impact award-winning local NGO (The 2012 Stars International Health Impact Award Winner of Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. The organization has an excellent working relationship and reputation with its communities, funding partners, local government, and various stakeholders. The organization is registered by the Ethiopian government as a national NGO with a registration number 0288

Organizational Objectives

  • To Improve the health status of communities basically women and children
  • To improve quality education and service delivery
  • To reduce the Sexual & Gender Based Violence through the promotion of Women’s Right and Economic Empowerment
  • To overcome the challenges of climate change and environmental degradation through the introduction of renewable energy (Solar) for water supply and irrigation
  • To increase and diversify farm &off-farm household income to vulnerable groups of the society
  • To capacitate communities through skills upgrading, economic and material resources so as to become self-reliant
  • Pastoral communities to enjoy their rights and live in peace
